Azerbaijan Destroyed Six S-300 Systems of Armenia: President Ilham Aliye

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has claimed that the military has destroyed at least six Armenian S-300 missile systems using Turkish and Israeli drones.

Modern methods of warfare are different from those of the 90s. Unmanned aircraft is an important factor in our combat capability, especially in such fortified areas…. Both Turkish Israeli drones helped us a lot. We have destroyed at least S-300 air defense systems using them,” Aliyev said during an interview with the General Director of the Interfax-Azerbaijan agency Anar Azizov.

The leader added that total military equipment losses faced by Armenia include 256 tanks, 50 BMP vehicles, 40 OSA SAM systems, over 400 trucks, hundreds of artillery pieces, and more.

Earlier this month,Yerevan’s S-300s shot down two Azerbaijani missiles, likely Russian Tochka-U, that had a trajectory of destruction in the direction of a nuclear power plant located near Armenia’s Abovyan city. The interception was carried out at a distance of about 50 km from the plant or just a few seconds before the impact, BulgarianMilitary.comhad reported.

Armenia has also claimed to have downed several Azeri drones, including one Bayraktar TB2 today.

Turkey has been supplying Bayraktar TB2 combat drones to Azeri forces and Libyan UN-recognized GNA military. Around mid-July, Ankara offered ammunition, drones, missiles and air defense systems, and said it is ready to work with Baku to modernize its own defense systems.

The Azeri military also utilize Israeli drones: Hermes and Skystriker drones built by Israeli firm Elbit Systems, IAI Harop loitering munitions, Thunder B small tactical UAV designed by BlueBird Aero Systems, and Aeronautics Defense Systems’ Orbiter 2 and 3.

On October 13, Clash Report published data that claimed that the Armenia has lost $1 billion worth of military equipment.
