Russian head of state-run diplomatic think tank has said that the only feasible solution to the problem of North Korea’s nuclear program can be negotiation.
Russia will not tolerate North Korea’s possession of nuclear weapons. North Korea would want to own nuclear weapons all the more if the US threatens to ‘destroy it, Bazhanov Evgeny Petrovich, director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying in a forum in Seoul by Yonhap on Thursday.
Petrovich was referring to the US President Donald Trump’s ‘fire and fury’ speech at the United Nations in September this year.
The semi-governmental forum opened for a two-day run to discuss ways to build a platform for peace and security cooperation in Northeast Asia. It brings together about 200 government officials and private experts.
