The Finnish Defence Forces and Millog Oy have signed an agreement on target acquisition sensors. The value of the contract is 26.8 million euros
The deliveries of the Millog LISA sensors and accessories will take place in 2014-2017. The sensors, based on uncooled thermal imaging technology will be manufactured by Millog in Finland.

“The Finnish Defence Forces are known as a demanding customer. First the Defence Forces assessed the bids received. In the acquisition procedure, products in competitive bidding were tested thoroughly in Finland. The competitive bidding procedure was concluded based on price, technical and field evaluation points.
“The winner of the bidding process, Millog Oy, offered the Defence Forces the macroeconomically most advantageous product”, says Chief of Division, Colonel Petri Lammi of the Army Materiel Command Headquarters’ Systems Division.

LISA’s main features are an uncooled thermal imager, optical day channel, eyesafe laser rangefinder, digital magnetic compass, GPS, wireless connection, C4I connectivity and image capture with target information
Being lightweight, accurate and user-friendly, LISA is designed for use for forward observation squads, infantry and special units.
