Finnish company Oricopa Oy has signed a contract with Norway's Kongsberg for the delivery of sub-systems for the command and control element of the NASAMS surface-to-air missile system.

The total value of the contract for Oricopa is approximately €25 million, with the deliveries taking place between 2015 and 2017.

Oricopa's part of the contract is related to a program whose main supplier is the US-based Raytheon Company. The end customer of this joint project between Raytheon and KONGSBERG is the Royal Air Force of Oman. This contract is a continuation of collaboration between Oricopa and KONGSBERG which began five years ago. Then, the Finnish Defence Forces acquired a NASAMS air-defence system. Amounting almost to 100 man-years, this new deal will have a significant employment effect for Oricopa and its Finnish supply chain.
