Sikorsky Aircraft Corp has won a contract from the US to provide UH-60M helicopter to Jordan.
The company announced Thursday that the work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2015.
This advanced BLACK HAWK aircraft serves dependably in the extreme conditions found on earth.
The UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter features a monolithic design and offers better handling qualities and active vibration control. It is attached with a three-point dual energy absorbing landing gear and foldable main and tail rotor blades that are protected from ballistic damage.
The UH-60M provides superior vertical lift and is considered "intelligent" choice for the battlefield with the integration of the US Army's Future Combat Systems and automated aircraft health monitoring.
