BAE Systems has offered the Australian army a solution based on Patria’s Armoured Modular Vehicle(AMV) and Hägglunds’ E35 turret system.

The company teamed with Patria to offer the AMV35 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (CRV) for Australian army for meeting the requirements of the Australian Army’s mounted combat reconnaissance.

The protected armoured vehicle equipped with a turret is offered under Phase 2 of the Land 400 Program as the solution. The Both are qualified and in service with NATO nations.

The BAE Systems-Hägglunds manned turret system is fitted to the successful CV90 family of infantry fighting vehicles operated by seven nations. It has been used on UN and NATO missions across the globe, including Afghanistan.

The E35 turret provides the AMV35 with real battlefield advantage for Australian soldiers through game-changing levels of accuracy and weight of fire.

“The AMV35 is a low risk and affordable step change in mounted combat reconnaissance that can be easily configured to suit the Army’s expectations now and into the future.” BAE Systems Australia Chief Executive Glynn Phillips said.

If selected, the BAE Systems/Patria team will manufacture and support the AMV35 in Australia, securing and retaining in-country capability, and contributing significantly to the Australian economy throughout the expected 30+ year life of the vehicles.
