The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has approved $495 million sale of 9 UH-60M Black Hawk Utility helicopters to Saudi Arabia.
The sale also includes 21 T700-GE-701D Engines, 20 Embedded Global Positioning Systems with Inertial Navigation System (GPS/INS), 12 AN/AAR-57, Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS) and 20 M240H 7.62mm Machine Guns along with non-MDE items and support items, DSCA said in a statement Tuesday.
The Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command (RSLFAC) plans to use these helicopters for search and rescue, disaster relief, humanitarian support, counterterrorism, and combat operations.
The principal contractors will be Sikorsky and General Electric. The delivery is scheduled for sixty months.
