Boeing has won a $281.7 million contract from US air force to upgrade (V)3 radar systems for some of its F-15 Eagle fighters.
The contract is expected to be complete by January 15, 2019, the USDoD announced Friday.
"Contractor will provide procurement, installation, initial spares and support for 17 (V)3 and 29 RMP radars," the company announced today.
The Defense Department explained that work on the program will be performed at Boeing‘s St. Louis, Missouri facilities.
The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather tactical fighter that first became operational in 1976 and is projected to be in service with the US Air Force through 2025.
