Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems has won a $102 million worth contract to deliver fully integrated Navy Multiband Terminals (NMT) for the US Navy, the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

The NMT is a multiband capable satellite communications terminal that provides both protected and wideband communications. NMT supports Extremely High Frequency (EHF)/Advanced EHF Low Data Rate /Medium Data Rate/Extended Data Rate, Super High Frequency, Military Ka (transmit/receive) and Global Broadcast Service (receive-only) communications.

The awarded contract combines purchases for the United States and the government of the United Kingdom under the Foreign Military Sales Program.

“This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $466 million, and work could continue until September 2022,” the US DoD said.

Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2018.
