Boeing Awarded $42 Million Worth US Navy Contracts For P-8A Aircraft Components Repair

Boeing has been awarded three contracts total worth $42 million from the US Navy for the repair coverage of components used on the P-8A aircraft.

The first contract worth $19 million awarded to Boeing is for the repair coverage of 193 various mission system components on the P-8A aircraft.  This contract includes a one-year base period and two 12-month optional periods, which if exercised, will bring the contract value to $72 million, the US Department of Defense announced Monday.

Work will be performed in Seattle, Washington, and is expected to be completed by March 2017; if all options are exercised, work will continue through March 2020.

The second contract estimated $14 million is for the repair coverage of 204 commercial components used on the P-8A aircraft.  This contract includes a one-year base period and two 12-month optional periods, which if exercised, will bring the contract value to $59 million, the statement said.

Work on the second contract will be performed in Seattle, Washington, and is expected to be completed by March 2017; if all options are exercised, work will continue through March 2020.

The third and final contract for the repair coverage of 24 various mission system components used on the P-8A aircraft is worth $9 million.

This contract includes a one-year base period and two 12-month optional periods, which if exercised, will bring the contract value to $31 million.  Work will be performed in Seattle, Washington, and is expected to be completed by March 2017, the statement added.
