Russia’s Radioelectronic Technologies Concern (KRET) has presented an active phased antenna array radar Zhuk-AME designed for multipurpose MiG-35 fighter jets.
"The Radioelectronic Technologies Concern designed the Zhuk-AME active phased antenna array for the MiG aircraft family. The new radar provides for combat outside direct vision and simultaneously tracks 30 targets and destroys up to six of them in the air and four on the ground," KRET said in a statement Thursday.
The new radar with active phased antenna array helps fulfil missions in complicated weather conditions and jamming by the adversary.
"The use of the active phased antenna array increases the target detection range to 160 kilometers. The radar can simultaneously operate in air-to-air and air-to-surface regimes, identify and classify group and single objects, attack several of them with high-precision weapons, transmit data on tactical situation to other aircraft and engage in radio-electronic warfare," KRET said.
"The upgraded onboard Zhuk radar has already been certified for export. It surpasses competing radars by tactical and technical characteristics and is to be mounted on perspective new-generation aircraft, including MiG-35 fighter," said KRET First Deputy Director General Igor Nasenkov.
Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies (KRET) presented its demonstrator of drone technologies featuring elements that are used in the fifth generation aircrafts at the exhibition and scientific conference on hydroaviation - Gidroaviasalon 2016. Visitors viewed a demonstrator featuring a new unified avionics suite showing its control, navigation, communication and display for prospective drones in operation
KRET plans to begin the international delivery of the Rychag-AB active jammers that can be installed on airplanes and helicopters. The Russian Ministry of Defense is currently purchasing Mi-8МТПР-1specialized radioelectronic warfare helicopters equipped with the Rychag-AB
Russia's KRET can equip Fuel and Energy facilities with the electronic warfare capability of countering terror threats. "We can be relied upon to deliver protective systems to fuel and energy facilities — oil wells, offshore drilling platforms and popular sports events, such as the FIFA World Cup
Russian KRET and foundation for advanced studies (FPI) are developing a phased array antenna on the principles radiofotoniki at an estimated cost of US$ 11.4 million (680 million rubles)
