Russian Helicopters, Singaporean Progression Pte and Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) have signed an agreement with Centre for Overseas Promotion of Russian High-tech Companies and Presentation of Investment Projects on cooperation and joint collaboration to promote helicopters in the South-east Asia region.
Under the Agreement, Progression Pte. Ltd. and RSBC will conduct market research in the interests of "Russian Helicopters", as well as promotions and engage in activities aimed at attracting investment and building international alliances in Singapore and other countries of South-East Asia, Rostec said in a statement Tuesday.
"The aim of the agreement is to increase the sales of helicopters in the region that offers considerable growth potential. The Center for Promotion of Russian High-tech Companies, which we are currently opening in Singapore, will become the main driver for cooperation. The purpose of this organization is to increase the presence of Russian companies, primarily Rostec, in South-East Asia," said Chairman of RSDS, Deputy CEO of Rostec State Corporation Nikolay Volobuev.
Russian Helicopters has started flight tests of the Mi-171E multipurpose helicopter with upgraded power unit and rotor system at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (UUAP) and plans to finish the flight tests by the end of the 2017. Mi-171E helicopter is equipped with a new rotor and X-shaped tail rotor with blades made of polymer composite materials, upgraded swash plate, Russian-made VK-2500PS-03 engine with a FADEC-type digital control system, and with modified stabilizer and keel beam, the company said in a statement Friday
