Indonesia’s new Air Force Chief of Staff Yuyu Sutisna after swearing in as the new air force chief od staff on Thursday told reporters that he hopes to sign a contract to buy 11 Su-35 later this month and speed up the procurement of five ground-based radars and two passive radars.

"Hopefully, within 3 months the procurement of delayed armor will be completed, for example Sukhoi SU-35, I hope this January can sign the contract already in the Ministry of Defense,” Antara news agency reported Thursday.

"I am trying to speed things up because with the arrival of armaments will strengthen us in carrying out the task and also there is procurement of 5 delayed 'GCI' (Ground Control Intercept) radar, then two passive radar then unmanned aircraft, there are some that we will do for adding to the strength of the air force, "Yuyu said.
