Pakistan Sells Six Armored Vehicles to Bahrain

Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) has signed an export order with Bahrain National Guards to supply six locally manufactured light armoured vehicles ‘Interceptor’, local media reports.

Sources told Daily Pakistan on Wednesday that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between HIT’s chief Lt Gen Muhammad Naeem Ashraf and Lt Gen Mohammed Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the brother of Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, which also includes providing an option for more 50 vehicles.

They said the vehicles were built for the civil armed forces to control limited violence and internal security.

The Interceptor is an internal security vehicle built on the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 chassis with options of Level B6 or Level B7 armored protection.
