Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has signed a collaboration agreement with DOK-ING D.O.O (DOK-ING) from Croatia on manufacturing, marketing and sales of a robotic system to be used in high risk areas, including ones contaminated by chemical, biological and radioactive agents.
The system comprises a unique dedicated vehicle, which features some of the world's most advanced robotic capabilities. These capabilities allow it to perform its tasks efficiently and without risking human lives.
The agreement is part of broader agreement between Croatian and Israeli government on upgraded F16 fighter aircraft supplied by IA.
DOK-ING will provide to the collaboration the unique platform developed especially to withstand the extreme working environment including strong navigability and transportability in complex terrains. IAI will provide advanced robotic capabilities, algorithms for autonomous movement, broadband communication systems and command and control systems. In addition, special sensors for detecting and classifying contaminants will be embedded in the system including for radioactive radiation.
Joseph Weiss, IAI CEO said, "IAI entered the agreement with DOK-ING as part of our strategy to maintain our domestic and global leadership in autonomous systems. Combined with DOK-ING's engineering and technological capabilities, we will create a technologically and operationally advanced solution that will provide the high quality response required for hazardous environments without risking human lives".
Aero, the Czech aircraft manufacturer, and Israeli Aerospace Industries have introduced cost-effective, combat proven fighter attack aircraft, the F/A-259 Striker. The F/A-259 Striker is a multirole aircraft for close air support, counter-insurgency operations and border patrolling with interception capabilities
Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on July 17 to support development of a new tactical Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) able to take off and land vertically for the U.S
Israeli Aerospace Industries unveiled operational concept of a special one meter-long rocket accelerator that will double the range of Barak 8 missile system. The rocket accelerator will enable the missiles to intercept threats from a distance of 150 kms
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Honeywell signed a Teaming Agreement (TA) to introduce the market of airborne avionics with a jointly developed turnkey GPS Anti-Jam navigation system. The joint product integrates IAI's GPS Anti-Jam system with Honeywell's navigation products, as a subsystem or as an embedded solution
At the Annual Meeting & Exposition of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) currently on in Washington, DC, Rheinmetall and BAE Systems (BAE-S) have featured combat vehicle autonomy and remote operation capabilities. Rheinmetall has displayed its proposed solution for the US Army Robotic Combat Vehicle – Light (RCV-L) program, the Wiesel Wingman concept
BAE Systems has launched a new Robotic Operations Center (ROC) to customize and deploy suites of software robots that automate high-volume, repetitive tasks in support of United States national security missions. The ROC, which builds on the companys partnership with UiPath, leverages machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA) tools to transform large volumes of data into actionable intelligence
Prospects of Saab to sell Gripen fighter jets to Croatia have increased as Zagreb has threatened to cancel its deal to buy 12 used F-16s from Israel if the the latter does not confirm the status of the deal within a week. Gripen had earlier been rejected in favor of the used Israeli F-16s but with the United States administration blocking the sale of the jets, Zagreb may have no choice but to go with Saab's offer of new jets combined with a liberal financing package
Lockheed Martin has selected Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) as a sub-contractor to manufacture wing skins for F-35 fighter jets. IAI has launched a new production line for skins for the F-35 wings
In recent tests, the United States Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) demonstrated the ability of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) to autonomously adapt and respond to unexpected threats in an anti-access area denial (A2AD) environment. The UASs were equipped with a DARPA system called Collaborative Operations in Denied Environment (CODE) program
Sikorsky and the US Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have begun to integrate the Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System (ALIAS) into a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter for testing and flight demonstration of the pilot-less technology in 2019. “Weve chosen the Black Hawk as the platform we want to demonstrate full integration of ALIAS type capabilities; all the circuit breakers and switches and instruments in the aircraft, so that the capability ALIAS provides to a crew member is really like a co-pilot,” said Graham Drozeski, the DARPA program manager for ALIAS
