General Dynamics To Conduct Repair Works Of USS Washington Submarine
USS Washington (SSN 787)

General Dynamics has won a $15.2 million contract for planning, material procurement, and repair work for USS Washington (SSN 787) nuclear-powered attack submarine.   

Virginia-class submarines operate in the world's littoral and deep waters while conducting anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, strike warfare, special operation forces support, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be complete by December 2019.
