Boeing to Provide Advanced Electronic Warfare Systems for U.S. F-15 Fleet
F-15E Eagle is suspended from the ceiling at the Benefield Anechoic Facility during first phase EPAWSS testing in May 2019.

Boeing has won a $80 million contract for F-15 Eagle Passive Active Warning and Survivability System (EPAWSS) low rate initial production.

Work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026.

Eagle Passive Active Warning and Survivability System

The EPAWSS provides the U.S. Air Force F-15 fleet with advanced electronic warfare technology. It is an integrated digital avionics system designed to protect the F-15E Eagle against enemy air defense systems. It offers fully integrated radar warning, geo-location, situational awareness, and self-protection solutions to detect and defeat surface and airborne threats. Equipped with advanced electronic countermeasures, it enables deeper penetration against modern integrated air defense systems, providing rapid response capabilities to protect the aircrew.

The EPAWSS defends against RF and IR threat systems detecting or acquiring accurate targeting information prior to threat engagement thus complicating and/or negating an enemy threat targeting solution. The system counters threats through its suite of components with electro optical and RF techniques.
