The U.S. Air Force today ordered 400 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile – Extended Range (JASSM-ER) missiles as well as 137 Long Range Anti-Ship (LRASM) Missiles.

The service awarded Lockheed Martin two contracts valued over $840 million for the missiles. JASSM-ER deal, valued $428.4 million covers provision of Lot 19 JASSM-ER missiles along with containers, training and production preparation, tooling and test equipment and hardware spares, a U.S. DoD release today said.

The company won an additional $414.25 million for Lots 4 and 5 LRASMs, tooling and test equipment. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS), the statement said, without mentioning the name of the customer. This is the largest LRASM production contract in the history of the program. The combined Lot 4/5 contract continues production of the air-launched variant of LRASM, now operational on the U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F and U.S. Air Force B-1B.
