The U.S. delivered military equipment worth $9 million to Greece on Thursday.

“The U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation delivered ~$9 million of U.S.-granted equipment including radios to strengthen communication capacity of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff-Joint Special Operations Command,” the U.S. Embassy Athens tweeted.

Under Greece’s $14 billion five-year modernization plan, it wants to buy new helicopters, drones, frigates and upgrade its existing F-16 fighters, besides buying new F-35 fighters and French Rafale jets.
