U.S. Military Awards Lockheed Martin $1.1B for F-35 Jets
F-35 Lightning II aircraft

Lockheed Martin won a contract valued $1.1 billion to build 16 F-35 fighter aircraft to the U.S. forces.

“This modification exercises options for the production and delivery of 16, Lot 15 F-35 Lightning II aircraft: 10 for the Air Force and six for the Marine Corps,” a U.S. DoD release today said.

Work is expected to be completed in May 2026.
