L3Harris Joins Northrop’s Team for Australian Defence Force’s Satellite Communication System Project

Northrop Grumman announced today that L3Harris Technologies has joined the team of satellite communications providers working to deliver the Commonwealth the sovereign capability solution for JP9102, the Australian Defence Force’s Satellite Communication System project.

As part of the team, L3Harris will provide in-country, ground station capability including the Australian Wide Multi-Band Terminal (WMBT), pronounced WOMBAT, delivering exponential growth in capability and upgradeability over existing systems, while occupying the same ground footprint.
