SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, signed an agreement worth EUR 300 million ($443 million) with the Lybian General People’s Committee for General Security for a large Border Security and Control System. The first tranche of EUR 150 million has already started. The agreement is one of the most important achievements by a Finmeccanica company in the Large Systems for Homeland Security domain. SELEX Sistemi Integrati, in line with its mission of prime responsibility for the architecture of Large Systems within Finmeccanica, will design, install and integrate all the subsystems of the program. In addition, the company will provide all the typical functionalities of a C3 (Command, Control & Communication) system, such as command decision support tools, information processing, integration of data gathered by different sensors - provided by SELEX Sistemi Integrati itself - and emergency management.
