Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI) will display its "T129 ATAK" Advanced Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter at the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS), 16-18 January 2014.
ATAK Contract has been started as a result of an effort to meet the "attack & tactical reconnaissance helicopter" requirements of Turkish Armed Forces. T129 is the result of the integration of nationally developed high-tech avionic equipment and weapon systems on to the combat proven AgustaWestland A129 airframe, with upgraded engines, transmission and rotor blades.
Optimized for "hot & high" environments, T129 is the most efficient Attack Helicopter in its class.
BAE Systems is participating in Bahrain Airshow, 16-18 January 2014, focusing on exhibiting Typhoon and Hawk capabilities with scale models of Typhoon, Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer and the EJ200 engine. The exhibit also has the interactive Typhoon Helmet (also known as the Helmet Mounted Symbology System) Demonstrator and the Eurofighter Typhoon Cockpit Simulator on display
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) said Bahrain has sought support to maintain the Hawk fleet of Bahrain Air Force.
