Thales has won a 100 million euros contract to supply Forceshield integrated air defense system and STARSTREAK missiles to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense.
In addition to the supply of STARStreak short-range air defence missiles, the system comprises CONTROLMaster200 radar and weapon coordination systems, RAPIDRanger mobile weapon systems and Lightweight Multiple Launchers (LML), as well as associated communications, training and support equipment.

For the realisation of this programme, Thales will increase its existing industrial cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia, and has signed an agreement with the Indonesian company PT LEN Industri. The Group will continue to develop a long-term partnership with the Indonesian industry on future programmes in both the military and civil sectors.
Thales has won a contract from the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to develop the New Generation Laser Designation Pod (PDL NG), with the production is expected to begin in 2018. Thales will develop the PDL NG that will provide the French air forces with new day/night imaging and engagement capabilities in complex theatres of operations
Thales has signed a contract with Astrium, prime contractor for the Ariane 5 ME (Midlife Evolution) launcher, for the development of the control electronics on the upper-stage Vinci engine steering system. Scheduled to make its first flight in mid-2018, Ariane 5 ME is a higher performance version of Europe's Ariane 5 launch vehicle
The Swiss Air Forces EC635 helicopter Full Flight Mission Simulator (FFMS) has achieved JAR FSTD-H Level D certification issued by Switzerlands Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) - the highest possible level of FSTD certification. The Thales simulator is used to train EC635 helicopter aircrews, allowing pilots to train and perfect their skills with a high degree of realism

Thales Commander Training System has entered service with the French Army under a contract to the DGA French defence procurement agency. The OPOSIA system will be used to instruct and train commanders of company-level combined-arms task forces, as well as section and platoon leaders
The Brazilian Army has selected Thales Sotas communication systems for its various vehicle programmes, including the new Guarani vehicle, the Cascavel, the M113 and the Urutu refurbishment programmes. The systems will be delivered in June 2014
Thales has won a five-year contract with the UKs Ministry of Defence to provide support for the Sonar 2050 anti-submarine sensor used on the Royal Navys Type 23 Duke-class frigate fleet.
