In a video released by the Turkish Tevhidi Gündem news shows a Russian KIL-158 battleship laden with camouflaged armored vehicles and likely to be tanks passing through Istanbul’s Bosphorus on Sunday.
A Turkish Coast Guard ship, maritime police and a police helicopter escorted the ship throughout its one-hour passage. Two tanks under camouflage were also seen on the ship’s deck, while some soldiers on board were seen observing the area, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
However, one expert said the military ship was “likely” carrying high speed patrol boats, rather than tanks, the report said.
