Bayraktar Vertical Take-Off UAV revealed in Company Video

A prototype of a Bayraktar vertical take-off surveillance UAV has been revealed in a video made by Baykar, the Turkish drone manufacturer.

In a video posted by Selçuk Bayraktar, Baykar Defense’s Technical Manager on social media platforms, the drone could be spotted in the background. Aside of Bayraktar Vertical Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (DİHA), AKINCI TİHA, 3 prototypes of Flying Car CEZERİ and Bayraktar TB2 SİHA systems that will enter the Turkish inventory in 2021 can be seen.

The Bayraktar DIHA can be used to perform reconnaissance and intelligence missions. The vehicle is capable of automatic cruise flight, autonomous take-off, autonomous landing and semi-autonomous cruise flight.

After Bayraktar DIHA takes off with electric motors, it will switch to cruise flight mode, only the fuel engine will be active in cruise flight mode. There are three different options for landing mode: vertical landing, landing on the hull and landing with parachute. The aircraft has a flight control system that can perform automatic route tracking, target tracking, hooping and return home modes, DefenseTurk reported today.
