Kyiv Takes Control of Russian Pantsir Missile System, Destroys Su-25 Jet; Russia Claims 1 Ukrainian MiG-29, 3 Bayraktar TB2 Drones

The Ukrainian military says it destroyed a Russian Iskander-M missile system and a Su-25 jet, while Moscow claimed it knocked down several Ukrainian aircraft.

An official Ukrainian military statement said the Su-25 was shot down at Chernihiv city in the north.

The Ukrainian military also took control of Pantsir missile system today. “The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have another ‘special’ trophy: the Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex Pantsir-S1,” it posted on Twitter.

Igor Konashenkov, Russian defense ministry spokesman, said one MiG-29, three Bayraktar TB-2 drones and a Tochka-U tactical missile system were destroyed. He added that the operational-tactical aviation hit 68 objects, including: 2 objects of the control system of the Ukrainian armed forces, 12 objects of logistics, 3 Osa anti-aircraft missile systems.

Russia has taken control of five more settlements: Stepnoye, Krapivnitskoye, Maly Kremenchik, Novopetrikovka and Yalynskoye. Donetsk People’s Republics (DPR) troops captured Maryanovka, Lazarevka and Lesnoy, he said.
