Jordanian F-16 Aircraft Shot Down By ISIS

A Jordanian F-16 fighter aircraft was shot down by ISIS today using a heat-seeking missile over Raqqa, Syria, according to various media reports.

It would mark the first time ISIS would have shot down a fighter. The government confirms Islamic State captured pilot after fighter went down, AFP reported.

Earlier, Islamic State force succeeded in shooting down a Iraqi Air Force EC635 helicopter over Iraq, but never before a fighter aircraft.
