Rockwell Collins has been awarded a $31 million contract to provide weapon replaceable assembly repair support of the Aviation Navy/Airborne Radio Communication - 210 version Electronics Protection Radio System and Communications Security System requirements for the US Navy.
“Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $31,060,613 performance-based logistics, firm-fixed price requirements contract for the weapon replaceable assembly repair support of the Aviation Navy/Airborne Radio Communication - 210 version Electronics Protection Radio System and Communications Security System requirements for the Navy and other Department of Defense services,” the US Department of Defense announced Monday.
The contractor is also responsible for managing technical and configuration changes, and obsolescence. This is a five-year base period contract with one five-year option period which if exercised, brings the total estimated value to $66,990,000, according to the statement.
Work will be performed at the contractor’s various locations in the contiguous U.S; and Chelton Limited, United Kingdom, and is expected to be completed by July 2021. With options exercised, work will continue through July 2026, the statement added.
Rockwell Collins will provide up to 2,000 of its MicroGRAM GPS receivers for integration in Neyas Autonomous Behavior Capability Module, in support of Increment 1 of the Naval Surface Warfare Centers Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System (AEODRS). “MicroGRAM provides the US Navys AEODRS program the small, embedded, secure GPS necessary to ensure mission success,” said Mike Jones, vice president and general manager of Communication, Navigation and Electronic Warfare Solutions for Rockwell Collins
