Lockheed Wins $34.2M for S.Korean F-16 Life Extension

Lockheed Martin has won a $34.2 million contract for the Service Life Extension Program for the Republic of Korea's F-16 aircraft.

In March 2020, the U.S. State Department gave its approval to upgrade South Korean F-16 fighter jets with Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and Link 16 Tactical Datalink (TDL) and related equipment for $194 million.

Work will be performed in the Republic of Korea and is expected to be completed August 15, 2026.
