Lockheed Martin wins $13 million contract for Strike Fighter aircraft from US Air Force

ockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $13,729,506 modification to the previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee/award-fee contract (N00019-08-C-0028) to exercise an option for the procurement of one ruggedized repair verification radar (RVR) test set in support of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The RVR test set will support aircraft maintenance level for evaluation and verification of zonal radar cross section performance characteristics following aircraft repair of all three variants. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (96 percent); Fort Worth, Texas (3.5 percent); and Orlando, Fla. (0.5 percent). Work is expected to be completed in January 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
