Kratos Wins $10 Million U.S Army Rocket Launch Contract

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions announced today it has been awarded a $10.5 million task order under its $100 million U.S. Army Multiple Award Prime Contract (MAC) for Theoretical Studies and Engineering Research (TSER). The Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Detachment White Sands (NSWC PHD Det WS) utilizes the TSER contract to support various national security related customers, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program. Under this task order award, Kratos will provide sub-orbital rocket vehicle related hardware, certain other specialized products, engineering, technical services and launch support for a series of Ballistic Missile Defense related missions planned over the next two years. Dave Carter, President of Kratos' Defense & Rocket Support Services (KDRSS) Division, noted, "We are extremely pleased with this award, and I am personally very proud of our entire RSS team for the support we are providing our customers for critical national security priority initiatives. The specialized products, engineering and technical services to be provided by Kratos under this task order will support the test and evaluation of several critical ballistic missile defense programs, and these very unique Kratos products and offerings represent key strategic differentiators for our Company".
