CACI International announced today that it has been awarded a $21.5 million task order by the U.S Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to continue support of the comprehensive Naval Shipyard Training and Education Program (NSTEP). CACI will perform the work at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters, Naval Shipyards, and Navy maintenance facilities in the United States and Japan. NSTEP is a large-scale, shipyard-wide corporate approach to enhancing the Navy's industrial base competencies and capabilities. The program strengthens the Navy's ability to refine business processes, improve overall performance, and assure that fleet assets are more quickly available. The company provides a curriculum that covers topics such as strategy development, integrated team skills and team building, learning organization, interpersonal skills, and communications. Those trained through NSTEP include a range of Navy civilian and military personnel. These personnel then use these skill-sets on their work with the Navy's nuclear-powered ships to ensure that the ships are returned to the fleet on time and on budget.
