He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in 1977 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 1988 and the South Carolina Air National Guard from 1989 to 1995. He has served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Graham worked as a lawyer in a private practice prior to entering Congress.
